Our Organic Cold-Pressed Sesame Oil hails from the fertile plains of South India. Steeped in tradition, sesame oil holds a special place in Indian cuisine, used for its distinctive flavour and revered for its health benefits in Ayurveda, the ancient Indian system of medicine.

High smoke point, ideal for stir-frying, sautéing, and adding flavor to dishes.

Sesame Ginger Noodles:

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb noodles (rice noodles, ramen, or your preference)
  • 2 tbsp Organic Cold-Pressed Sesame Oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped scallions and sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  • Cook noodles according to package directions.
  • While noodles cook, whisk together sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, ginger, and garlic.
  • Drain noodles and toss immediately with the sauce.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Garnish with chopped scallions and sesame seeds (optional).

Spicy Sesame Cucumber Salad:

Ingredients:

  • 1 large cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Organic Cold-Pressed Sesame Oil
  • 1 tsp sriracha (or chili oil to your preference)
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp sesame seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  • In a bowl, combine cucumber slices, rice vinegar, sesame oil, sriracha, soy sauce, and sesame seeds.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Toss well and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes before serving.
