Organic Onion Powder

Ingredients:

• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
• 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
• 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
• 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
• 3/4 cup buttermilk

Instructions:

• Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
• In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, onion powder, and black pepper.
• Cut in butter using a pastry blender or two knives until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
• Stir in cheddar cheese.
• Add buttermilk and stir until just combined.
• Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto a baking sheet.
• Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
